I gave up FB two years ago. I couldn’t be less interested in it at this point. I read more, have more quality relationships and conversations, and am less triggered and there for less toxic to others. Best choice I made. I started my own Substack because I had been using FB as a blog of sorts, and it’s nice to be writing again without all the toxicity and dumpster fires that are social media interactions now. I’m glad you are among a growing community of social media defectors: welcome!

Kudos to you, Luke! Keep it up!!

I permanently deleted all of my all social media accounts in 2019. Good riddance!! I've discovered that most of my friendships have actually improved since then! I have much more genuine and regular conversations with my friends. I do occasionally miss some people who I haven't had contact with since - but I rarely interacted with them outside of social media anyway, so I don't consider them true friendships.

I'm at a point in life where I'm disconnecting from internet culture as much as humanly possible. In today's day and age, there's obviously a certain level of internet usage that's impossible to get away from, especially at work. Thankfully, my job does not require social media usage!!
