All right, y’all. I did it. By popular demand, I turned on donations.

You now have the option to give me money, if you want.

I’m still figuring out the technical side of this, so for the moment at least, expect things to stay as they were: no paywalled content, no immediate benefits to supporters. It’s just an option to throw a few bucks my way if you like my writing and want to help me keep the lights on or whatever. I may make changes once I figure out how it actually works.

So, anyway, if all of the following are true:

1. You appreciate my writing

2. You want to see more of it

3. You are independently wealthy and have already bought yourself seven helicopters

4. You have already fully funded all your favorite charities, at least one of which has already cured at least one form of cancer

5. You are already supporting all of the many, many Substackers more talented and interesting than I am

6. You literally cannot think of anything better to spend your money on, because apparently you don’t know about video games

Yes, this means that anyone who has “pledged” support in the past will start getting charged. If that’s you, and you’re like, “Whoops, I can’t actually afford that, I need to cancel my pledge!”…that’s cool, I get it. We can still be friends.
